Survey

Our surveying staff consists of well experienced and qualified surveyors team and is specialized in the following cargo surveying:

  • General & Bulk Cargoes inspection including grain cargoes;
  • Draft Survey;
  • Edible Oils;
  • Fruits / Vegetables / Perishable goods inspections;
  • Petroleum Products;
  • Container Goods;


We can perform our job in any place of Black Sea including Ukraine (all Ukrainian Sea and River Ports), Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey & Georgia as well as other regions, such as: Azov Sea, Baltic Sea region ports. World wide service also could be tendered via our filiated partners.

Brief scope of survey work INMARS may offer you:

Preshipment inspection (PSI):

  • Control of quality condition of cargo, storage facilities, transport, lashing materials (if necessary) stipulated by principal and/or ISO requirements;
  • Check of documentation and testing of weighing facilities/sampling equipment;
  • Sampling and testing according to specifications stipulated by principal and/or ISO requirements.

Inspection during loading/discharging:

  • Hold cleanliness inspection.
  • Initial & final draft survey for loading or discharging of a vessel.
  • Full time supervision of loading or discharging of a vessel with appropriate photos confirmation.
  • Detailed daily reporting for the current events going on with your cargo/vessel.
  • Sampling, analysis of the cargo and storage of the samples.
  • Sealing of holds.
  • Final reporting.

Supervision of cargo operations

Our well experienced surveyors could provide the supervision of any kind of cargo operations including loading, discharging, securing and lashing of the cargo. We also have an experience in supervising of loading, discharging and securing of Heavy Lift cargoes.

On- /off-hire condition survey including bunker measurements.

We could perform on- / off-hire vessel condition survey inspecting all cargo holds and spaces as well as the deck and cargo equipment, hatch covers etc. In addition to the above mentioned kinds of inspection we could perform bunker measurements and calculation. The container type vessels’ condition survey could be carried out as well. Container vessel condition inspection details should be discussed as depends on the vessel’s schedule and the terminal’s regulations (if inspection is taking place while alongside the berth).

Fruits / Vegetables / Perishable goods inspections

We offer professional expertise and control of the Fruits, Vegetables and Perishable goods:

  • quality/condition, quantity and weight control
  • temperature control

Edible Oils loading/discharging inspections.

  • shore tanks or railway tanks inspection, sampling in accordance with FOSFA requirements;
  • ullage calculation of shore or railway tanks;
  • a ships’ tanks cleanliness inspection in accordance with FOSFA requirements;
  • ullage calculation of the cargo loaded/discharged on/from a vessel;
  • issuing all necessary certificates under FOSFA requirements;
  • all time sampling as well as preparing the composite samples in accordance with FOSFA requirements.

Petroleum Products inspections.

The services include quantity and quality inspection as follows: 

  • inspection of shore tanks or any other shore bulk storage facilities / pipelines;
  • inspection of the sea and / or river vessels, tanks barges;
  • inspection of the bunker barges / vessels inspection (bunker survey)
  • inspection of the rail cars and / or fuel / gasoline tank trucks;
  • sealing the valves of pipelines, shore tanks, pump stations, cars, etc.
  • cargo quality assurance, quality consultation, arbitration analysis.

Container loading/discharging service

We can offer the following service in this segment of surveying:

  • bay plan composing both in EDI or CASP format;
  • supervision during loading/discharging containers including general monitoring the cargo operations in 24 hours contact with liner and stevedoring company; supervision also includes containers and seals condition supervision.

Stuffing/restuffing containers

Any kind of cargo exported/imported with containers could be supervising while stuffing and discharging of containers.
